My Sixteenth Blog oils education

Essential oils education is important. Natural products have specific uses and do need to be used properly for greatest effect. Learning how to use essential oils is not a one time experience. Years into using them, I still learn more and get reminded about uses constantly.

Just this week I was thinking about my tummy feeling distended. It took me a moment to think about options and part of that was wanting something warm and comforting. I settled on having a "tea" (just hot water with essential oil) with ZenGest/DigestZen and wow was I reminded just how fast it worked and how wonderful the taste. It left me wondering why I had stopped having a ZenGest "tea" every day. No, I did not figure out why I stopped but I am back to having an oil tea every day.

I like OnGuard as it reminds me of Chinese spice tea, Fennel as I like the black licorice taste, and of course ZenGest. I do like using citrus oils like Wild Orange or Lemon (Lemon with honey when I have a sore throat. Sooo soothing!) as well as peppermint. But I digress.

My point is, even though we learn about essential oils and incorporate them into everyday living, there are a lot of applications for a vast set of scenarios.  Education is not only important when you start using essential oils, is is important to get reminders once in a while as well. We tend to gravitate to the same few oils all the time, thus leaving some of them to collect dust, or not even consider that there is more we can do for ourselves regarding self care. Getting the best value out of our money is important.

I love learning more. Digging into new ways to use essential oils for different reasons gets me very excited. When someone calls me up to say "Can essential oils help me with .....?" you fill in the blank, I get to digging into books and articles and discover new things. Even though I generally have a good idea of what to suggest for them to try, I always discover new ways to use essential oils or different essential oils to try. I have even discovered when researching for someone else, a better combo for myself! I do try lots of different combinations before I suggest to others.
Sometimes what I am already considering is the best course to start with, however there are always essential oils I have not thought about. Every person is different so having other options that will assist is great. People need to be able to choose the option best for them.

Let's get together on Wednesday evenings on Zoom where you can chat with me or on Facebook for the Weekly Wednesday Wisdom Live's or Saturday mornings for the continuing education series. Let's compare notes. What have you learned? Go to the EVENTS tab and register for a class or comment below with your favorite blends or questions. Excited to learn what you have to share and I am looking forward to sharing with you.
