I remember a few years ago at convention, there was a new formula for the life Long Vitality supplements (LLV) the person doing the presentation, was so excited about the lack of parameters that doTERRA had put on him to crate the new formula. doTERRA said to him to make the vitamins that he would want. LLV is a 3 pack of food sourced vitamins and minerals with Omegas and essential oils. In LLV the B vitamins, except B9 (folate) are all in a fermented form and so is vitamin K. doTERRA's patented formula is called glycoprotein matrix, because the vitamins are not isolates and the body recognises them as food, it makes them more easily absorbed. Vitamin B9 is in the form 5-MTHF. Yesterday I had a conversation with a lady about people that have a genetic issue that prevents absorption of folate or folic acid. Both are very important for developing fetuses and many other body functions. L-Methylfolate (5-MTHF) has emerged as a popular alternative, and has been used as a complementary medicine in several recent clinical trials.
5-MTHF is the form of Folate in LLV. So it is readily available for absorption.
My doctor used to have me taking B12 as I was anemic. I was finding that the long acting B12 helped me have more energy but it was not lasting more than a few hours and I was taking 2-3 of them a day.
